Sometimes I get this image in my head of how I push my hands into my chest, through the flesh, grab the intestines, pull them out of my body, squeeze the dripping parts together, and attach them onto my chest. This is what it's like sometimes to make jewellery.

STONE MATTERS

An exhibition by the jewellery departments of Fachhochschule Trier in Idar-Oberstein and Saimaan ammattikorkeakoulu in Imatra. Both schools specialize in stonework, hence the titel Stone Matters. The exhibition was to be seen at Sieraad jewellery fair in Amsterdam November 4-7.

On tuesday I am leaving for Amsterdam and Sieraad, the annual jewellery art fair in Westergasfabriek. I recently finished the stone piece for the Stone Matters exhibition.
